The clients requests were very specific for this installation. The aim was to create a traditional looking fire surround in this country cottage which was undergoing major refurbishment. The client liked the appearance of old stone to form the surround. We had to comission a specialist stone mason the replicate the appearance of a planting trough that was in the clients garden for the surround and form a 2 piece hand rubbed stone hearth with a bull nosed edge detail. This coupled with a handmade brick recess forms an attractive combination. The appliance was then installed with a rear mounting to bring it forwards into the room and maximise its presence as a centrepiece and its output as a heat source.
