Hot Box Stoves was invited to carry out a bespoke home survey at a beautifully presented semi-detached property in Harrogate. From the outset, our customer had a clear and considered vision: to create a dramatic focal point in the living area that would blend contemporary design with practical warmth.

At the heart of this project was a handcrafted chimney breast, expertly clad in Trilium Granite—a bold, industrial-inspired finish from Dekton’s natural stone collection. With its deep, textured tones and rich metallic veining, the Trilium Granite provided a visually arresting backdrop that demanded a stove of equal presence and character.

After a detailed consultation, the homeowner selected The Hobbit SE—a compact yet exceptionally efficient multi-fuel stove. With a robust 4.1kW heat output, it’s designed for smaller spaces but built to perform like a much larger appliance. Crafted with durability in mind, this DEFRA-approved model is perfect for properties in smoke control areas, offering clean-burning performance without compromising on style.

The Hobbit SE’s classic cast iron body, combined with its timeless detailing and compact proportions, made it a perfect match for the granite feature wall. The final result is a refined yet functional installation that harmonises visual impact with reliable heating performance—a space that delivers both form and function throughout the colder months.
