Heated using wood and gravity the Dutchtub is a cost-effective way to operate an outdoor hot tub. The cold water from the tub is sucked into the coil at the bottom, as the water is heated by the fire it rises in the coil and flows into the top of the tub. From a cold start, the tub takes around an hour to get up to bathing temperature.

Further, the lightweight construction of the Dutchtub allows it to be easily moved to a new location or to be stored when not in use.

• Kiln dried logs: These provide instant heat and burn cleanly with little smoke.

The Wood Fired Hot Tub (Dutchtub Original) comes with a wok and an insulated mat

A floating mat prevents the water from losing heat to the air, so the water in the tub heats up faster. The use of the insulation mat can reduce the heating time by 30 minutes.

Available Accessories

Lid: This cover is an additional insulated lid and ensures quick heating of the water in cold circumstances.

Ashtray: The ashtray catches the ash particles that may fall from the fire basket. Ideal for when your Dutchtub is placed on a terrace.

Windshield: The windshield protects the fire and makes the heating process of the Dutchtub go faster.

Chimney: The chimney guides the smoke to the top and causes a stronger draught effect, improving the heat distribution. Therefore, your fire will burn more efficiently and you will use less wood.

THERMALLY MODIFIED

The thermal modification of ash wood changes the cell structure of the wood and causes the wood to absorb less moisture. This is an environmentally friendly process that makes the wood resistant to wood rot and fungi. It extends the life span to 15-25 years or even longer. The wood gets a nice dark colour, but still ages naturally.

FILLING THE DUTCH TUB ORIGINAL

The Dutchtub is easily filled with a garden hose connected to the turbo valve. A full tub contains about 600 liters of water.

LIGHTING THE FIRE

The spiral contains a heating basket in which you can light a fire. This fire is the heat source for the water. On warmer days, it may not be necessary to light a fire, as the Dutchtub can also be used as a cold refreshing bath.
