Yes, training will be provided through HETAS, upon completion, you will then receive further training with our teams on site using our own carefully devised training plan. Thereafter, you will be inspected by HETAS and become a certified chimney sweep. 

No, we do not provide the vehicle. However, we are very specific regarding the vehicle that should be used. When working in peoples homes, image is key, a good brand image instills trust and confidence that you will take pride in your work and look after their home whilst undertaking the processes involved. Hot Box ® will provide a vehicle specification and can obtain costs on your behalf from our trusted suppliers and arrange everything from livery, to ply lining and loading with the equipment needed. 

You don’t, in the same way that you don’t need any of the trade associations or even a qualification. However, you will need training, access to spare parts, tools, equipment and most importantly a website with an online booking system, and that’s where we add serious value to any chimney sweep business. 

Our van based franchise model is new for 2024/2025, we are just starting out, so far we have interest from local parties and have a presence in Scotland and Yorkshire. However, we are open to enquiries and can tailor a location to suit you. Our advice is to work within 30 miles of your base and offer a range of services, which we will discuss with you during our interview process. 

No, our offer is for a chimney sweep franchise, our wood burner installation franchise is entirely separate and requires significantly more capital investment, and is subject to much higher fees and charges owing to the nature of the business and higher value of the services.
