Stove Project Overview

Our client was constructing a large contemporary extension on their country property and wanted something that would provide impact in the large open plan space.

Further, the entire project was an architect designed space with a number of high end additions and finishes. As such, the stove needed to be specified accordingly.

Having visited our showroom, this range of designer woodburners by Stack Stoves stood out from the rest.

After some deliberation over colour choices and position a Cubi Stack wood in black was specified connected via a twin wall chimney system through the zinc roof above.

Further, the floor coverings in the space had already been chosen and it was important that the look remained consistent. A glass hearth was specified and was purpose made to accept an air vent directly under the appliance to comply with building regulations.

The result, in our opinion is a stunning modern woodburner which provides a centrepiece for this large open plan space.

 

The end result

The end result had to be large and impressive versus the backdrop of a triple height galleried landing area and oak clad steps leading down into the open plan kitchen, living and dining spaces.

Precision was key, the stove needed to be completely central and there was no margin for error in relation to the flue system.

The look was created by an equally large hand made log basket supplied by a specialist weaver.
