Hot Box ® Stoves were engaged to carry out a stove installation of a Parkray Aspect 7 in High Catton which was recommended during our home survey.

STOVE

The Parkray Aspect 7 wood burning stove is a stunning addition to any living space. It combines elegant design with exceptional performance. INSTALLATION

The stove installation was carried out in accordance with HETAS Guidelines and Document J of Building Regulations.

Firstly, our team provided temporary protection to our clients home, standard practice at Hot Box.

To start with, our installers removed the old appliance. Next, they swept the flue and lined it with a Schiedel 316-grade twin skin flue liner.

Secondly, the newly created recess was lined with a fireboard in preparation for painting by others.

Next, the stove was placed into a position and a galvanised steel plate was fixed to the underside of the recess. The closure plate and chimney were sealed with high-temperature sealant.

Following that, the stove was connected with the liner using twin wall chimney components as well as a stove pipe. Finally, the chimney flue was completed with the installation of a pot hanging cowl.

Before leaving, mandatory to all stove installations, a new Carbon Monoxide alarm was installed along with a data plate detailing the work undertaken by our teams of HETAS-registered stove fitters.

TESTING AND COMMISSIONING

As part of each stove installation carried out by Hot Box, every appliance is tested and commissioned to ensure it operates correctly.

The process involves lighting a small fire to check connections and the adequacy of the draw. To ensure consistency, we use the Firestarter, the most convenient way to light a wood burner.

Usually, the process of lighting the stove for the first time is demonstrated to our clients to ensure they understand the relevant air controls and mechanisms on their woodburner.
