Stove Project Overview
Our client engaged Hot Box during the initial phases of their new, predominantly glass, rear extension project.
The brief was to install a modern free-standing stove at a keen price point to make the space useable all year round.
No chimney was present so a Schiedel ECO_ICID twin wall flue was specified from the top of the modern wood burner.
The stove was placed on a a teardrop shaped hearth to follow the lines of the corner of the room.
The biggest challenge when fitting a stove in a conservatory is the roof penetration.
Fortunately, as we were involved during the build phase, we were able to offer our clients advice as to how this would work so that they could instruct their builder accordingly.

The end result
A straightforward stove installation which will allow our clients room to be used throughout the year.
Woodburners are a great way of turning your conservatory or sun room into additional winter space.
Hot Box Stoves have installed many woodburners in conservatories over the years. Further, with the recent trend to change conservatory roof coverings to insulated solid structures the process is made even easier.
Our advice, if you are looking to install a stove in your conservatory, get its in early so that we can make sure the roof penetration is proper. If you are considering changing to a solid roof, the process is the same but try and time the two projects to run side by side.
