Hot Box ® Stoves Limited recently completed a stove installation in York, fitting two Dik Geurts wood burning stoves in separate rooms at a popular nursery setting.
The installation was carried out by our HETAS registered team and included appliance positioning, fireplace preparation, flue connection and completion registration.

This was a multi-room installation where each stove had to suit the space, the chimney arrangement and the character of the room. The result was a practical, attractive installation with strong heat output and a clean finished appearance.

Dik Geurts Ivar 5 Store
The first appliance was a Dik Geurts Ivar 5 Store, a 5kW wood burning stove with an integral log store below.
The Hot Box team rear-mounted the stove and concealed the flue connection within the chimney. This helped bring the appliance into the room, improving both the visual position and the transfer of heat into the space.
Dik Geurts Ivar 8
The second appliance was a larger Dik Geurts Ivar 8, selected for a room requiring greater output.
Before installation, the existing recess and masonry arch were made good to provide a cleaner, more suitable fireplace opening for the finished stove installation.
