Stove Project Overview

We were asked to install a previously used multi-fuel burning stove in a corner of a single-story kitchen.

Due to the lack of a chimney in the kitchen, a black Schiedel Twin Wall Chimney System was supplied and installed.

Schiedel Twin Wall Chimney System offers an incredible solution where a traditional chimney stack isn’t present. It is completely customisable; offering an advanced corrosion-resistant design, low external case temperature that can be as close as 6cm to combustibles.

As always the area where the works were carried out was secured with temporary protection followed by installation of fireboards to the rear walls behind the stove. Our customers chose a granite tear drop hearth which was placed in the corner together with the stove on top. A twin wall chimney system was installed, vertically for approximately 75cm then through the wall at a 45′ angle before continuing to a height in accordance with J of Building Regulations. Finally, an anti-down draft cowl was installed to prevent the wind from pushing the smoke downwards.

Our customers were pleased with the outcome and the clean and fast completion of the project. They are looking forward to using their new heat source in the fast-approaching winter months.
