Take a moment to absorb the presence of this stove. One of the flagship models offered by Dik Geurts is the Odin. Situated on its own plateau this round wood burner ticks so many boxes.

A newly formed extension to an existing property needed a focal point. Hot Box Stoves were contacted to provide advice and guidance on a suitable appliance.

It was decided that the DG Odin Plateau would be the ideal solution for this job.

Within the newly formed extension featuring full height glass and and a light fresh painted finish the lines were clean and crisp.

Adding the odin slotted straight into place and looked right at home. The simplistic yet well engineered design of a round stove sitting on a rectangular base added that additional wow factor.

This new log burner will be the talk of the build and certainly a homely feature for this family home for years to come.

The end result

The stove installation did not have an existing chimney to flue so we incorporated a full chimney system using black twin wall.

The odin sits nicely upon its bespoke plateau and is complimented by the full height windows either side.

A fantastic feature of the DG Odin is its plateau which doubles up as a log store for your seasons burning.

Unique in appearance, the round viewing window provides an excellent view of the flames inside the fire box.

When adding a focal point such as a stove you want it to be the main feature of the room. With this fantastic extension the views outside are superb but the presence of the Odin provides a much needed focal point, not to mention the warmth only real fire can provide.

As usual, upon completion of the stove installation, our team of HETAS engineers tested and commissioned the appliance using our patented firelighter, Hot Box ® Firestarter, without question the best way to light a wood burner.
