Stove Project Overview
Morso 7940 Wood Burning Stove 7.3kW on a glass hearth with direct air and a Schiedel Twin Wall Chimney System through the wall.
Often we get asked if you can have a wood burning stove in the corner and the answer is yes.
You will not find specific stoves made for a corner installation as most stoves are able to be situated like this.
Clearly when looking to add a log burner in the corner of a room you will need to find one that compliments the space available.
Round wood burners such as this Morso 7940 lend themselves to a corner installation.
Furthermore, to finish your corner installation you will need some kind of hearth. On this project we opted to use the clear glass teardrop hearth.
One of the main benefits to using a clear glass hearth such as this allows you to still see the floor beneath. Almost giving that invisible appearance but also ensuring your installation meets HETAS guidelines.
No Chimney
Most noteworthy with a corner stove installation is that you are not likely to have a chimney to install a flue liner in.
To overcome this we used a twin wall chimney system to fabricate a false chimney finished in a matt black to compliment the stoves paint.
This particular model of stove required an additional air vent which was installed behind stove.
