Stove Project Overview

An existing open fire and grate needed alteration to install a new wood stove.

The existing fireplace had been used for burning logs and coal for years, the client decided it was time for a change and wanted the efficiency of a multi fuel burner.

As such, Hot Box were engaged to open up the existing fireplace, inclusive of all structural work, and install a small multi fuel burner connected to a new flue liner.

The end result

A new slate hearth was installed to provide a good area for the new woodburner to sit on.

The recess and surround were made good with fire proof boards and the front face pattered ready for redecoration.

The result is a simple stove installation the will provide plenty of heat for years to come.

of course, the fire was test and commissioned, as usual, using Hot Box ® Firestarter.
