Stove Project Overview
We were asked to install a wood-burning stove in our customer’s living room. They had an old gas fire removed and a suitable recess created, ready for a new stove to be installed. Our customer wanted a wide stove with a large window that would fill the fireplace opening without looking lost. The perfect choice was the Parkray Aspect 7, a large stove with sleek, contemporary lines, and a substantial glass window to allow the user to really enjoy the view of the fire.
Parkray Aspect 7 offers a truly mesmerising view of the flames, making an alluring centrepiece in any room. Combining looks, controllability, and high efficiency, the Aspect 7 is an excellent addition to any home. This stove boasts our famous Tripleburn technology and offers a generous out of up to 7.5kW, making it an impressive all-rounder.
INSTALLATION
As with every installation, the works began with placing temporary protection in all areas where work was to be carried out. To begin with, the chimney was swept and lined with a 316-grade twin skin flue liner. Next, the new stove was placed in the correct position and a galvanized steel plate was fixed to the underside of the recess and sealed with high-temperature sealant. The customer’s new stove was connected with the liner using twin wall chimney components as well as a stove pipe. The chimney flue was completed with the installation of a pot-hanging cowl. Once all debris was disposed of and the area where the stove was installed was cleaned, our HETAS registered engineers performed a smoke test using the one and only Firestarter. The smoke test ensures there is an adequate degree of draw and that all connections are sealed. Finally, in accordance with building regulations, a CO/ Carbon Monoxide Alarm and a chimney notice plate were installed.
