Stove Project Overview
Hot Box ® Stoves were engaged to carry out the installation of a Parkray Aspect 4 which was recommended during our home survey.
The Parkray Aspect 4 has an output range between 3-5kW and is approved by DEFRA to burn wood in a smoke-controlled zone.
Parkray Aspect 4 is a multifuel stove designed for heating small to medium-sized rooms. It has a modern and sleek design with a large viewing window, which provides a clear view of the fire. The stove is made of high-quality materials and has a robust construction, making it durable and long-lasting. The Parkray Aspect 4 can burn both wood and smokeless fuel, and it features a powerful air wash system that keeps the glass clean and the fire burning efficiently. The stove also comes with an easy-to-use single air control, making it simple to regulate the temperature and maintain a consistent heat output. Overall, the Parkray Aspect 4 is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable and efficient stove that combines functionality with style.
Further, the appliance is classified as Eco Design Ready and complies with standards documented by Chapter 6 of The Clean Air Act 2019.
The stove installation was carried out in accordance with HETAS Guidelines and Document J of Building Regulations.
Firstly, our teams provided temporary protection to our client’s home, standard practice at Hot Box.
Thereafter, the existing fireplace was removed and the new stove was placed in the recess.
As part of our work to install the wood burner a new stainless steel flexible flue liner was installed to match the diameter of the connecting flue pipe from the specified stove.
Further, mandatory to all stove installations, a new Carbon Monoxide alarm was installed along with a data plate detailing the work undertaken by our teams of HETAS registered stove fitters.
Testing and commissioning
As part of each stove installation carried out by Hot Box, every appliance is tested a commissioned to ensure it operates correctly.
The process involves lighting a small fire to check connections and the adequacy of the draw. To ensure consistency, we use Firestarter, the most convenient way to light a wood burner.
Usually, the process of lighting the stove for the first time is demonstrated to our clients to ensure they understand the relevant air controls and mechanisms on their woodburner.
