INSTALLATION | Parkray Aspect 5 wood stove
The stove installation was carried out in accordance with HETAS Guidelines and Document J of Building Regulations.
To start with, the stove and the tall log base were placed on a square matt granite-style hearth.
A black Schiedel Twin Wall Chimney System was installed to the top of the stove, first vertically, then through the wall and up along the wall to a correct height in accordance with Document J of Building Regulations.
The chimney system was completed with an anti-down draft cowl.
Further, mandatory to all stove installations, a new Carbon Monoxide alarm was installed along with a data plate detailing the work undertaken by our teams of HETAS-registered stove fitters.
TESTING AND COMMISSIONING
As part of each stove installation carried out by Hot Box, every appliance is tested and commissioned to ensure it operates correctly.
The process involves lighting a small fire to check connections and the adequacy of the draw. To ensure consistency, we use the Firestarter, the most convenient way to light a wood burner.
Usually, the process of lighting the stove for the first time is demonstrated to our clients to ensure they understand the relevant air controls and mechanisms on their woodburner.
