Stove Project Overview

A fabulous stove installed in one of North Yorkshires finest city centre properties.

By no means was the installation of this great Stuv 6-H wood burner straightforwards.

A large town centre property made access the biggest constraint to fitting a new wood stove into the existing fireplace.

A great effort by our guys to brave the chilly early hours to ensure our client had their woodburner in time for the arrival of Santa. Quite how he is going to get up the the chimney we are not sure. Does he have a cherry picker?

The end result

The old fireplace had to be sensitively altered to accept the new wood stove. A new slate hearth was installed and 16 metres of flexible liner was hoisted up to the top of the chimney using a cherry picker.

An early start for the team on this project, fortunately we managed to get the chimney lined and back to base for coffee by 07.00 the same morning and returned to carry out the rest of the work at 09.00 after a well deserved bacon sandwich. 

A great choice of stove for this extremely nice property in York.
